Performances in 2010
Rachel won the BUCS Indoor 800m title on 14 March. and took bronze in the 800m at the Aviva England Under 23 Championships on 20 June.

Performances in 2008
Rachel had an excellent indoor season, winning the 800m at the England Athletics Under 20 Indoor Championships by over three seconds in a championship best performance of 2:06.91, her fastest time ever, indoors or out. Prior to that she had set three further personal bests for 800m indoors and finished fourth at the Norwich Union UK Championships for seniors.

Rachel started the outdoor season in same vein with personal bests for 400m and 1500m. She finished second in the 800m at the England Athletics Under 20 Championships before defending her Senior 800m title at the English Schools. She took a second off her personal best for 800m with 2:05.92 in the OCWK race at the Aviva London Grand Prix and improved it again four days later to 2:05.31. On 24 August she improved her 1500m best to 4:32.44. In October she travelled to Pune, India, for the Commonwealth Youth Games where she won a silver medal in the 800m in 2:05.71.

Performances in 2007
Rachel set four personal bests for 800m in 2007, with her best time of 2:06.93 coming when she won the gold medal in the Senior 800m at the English Schools Championships. She finished fifth in the 800m at the Norwich Union England Athletics Under 20 Championships and was selected for the GB Team for the European Youth Olympic Festival where she reached the 800m final.

Introduction to Athletics
Rachel got into athletics because she beat her best friend at a school sports day and thought she was good! She started to take the sport seriously in 2005 when she came last in the 800m final at the English Schools and decided she never wanted to do that again.
